Pool Rules

All Members and guests of Members are required to abide by these rules. Anyone who does not abide by these rules will be asked to leave The Dominion Club Pool complex by the Manager on Duty.

  1. Members are responsible for keeping their children within the pool complex unless they are dressed for tennis with appropriate footwear.
  2. No food or beverages are permitted in the pool area unless purchased from the Club. Ice chests or coolers are not allowed in the pool area.
  3. The use of the swimming pool at The Dominion Club is restricted to Members of TDC, their immediate family, and their guests.
  4. Members' dependents between the ages of nine and 22 years of age must have a photograph on file at the pool; this includes nannies also. 
  5. Conduct at the pool must be such as to provide the greatest safety for all Members and their guests. The pool manager is given full authority to enforce the swimming pool rules and regulations. In his or her absence, the lifeguards have full authority.
  6. Adult swim will be called once each hour for at least ten minutes. Only persons 18 years of age or older and parents with infants are permitted in the pool during adult swim time.
  7. Saving of chairs is prohibited on busy days. Please be considerate of other Members.
  8. Profanity of any kind will NOT be tolerated.
  9. Smoking is prohibited.
  10. Children under 13 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
  11. Running or scuffling in the pool area is prohibited. No spitting water in the pool will be permitted. There will be no horseplay, tennis balls, squirt guns, running, ball playing or noisy, hazardous activity in the pool or expanded pool areas.
  12. All Members and guests MUST register before entering the pool area. A $15 charge will be made for guests ($5 for family member) and they MUST BE accompanied by the Member inviting them. For children 5 years and under, there is no charge. Nannies must be registered with the Membership Office.
  13. No person shall enter the pool at any unauthorized time or when a lifeguard is not on duty.
  14. The pool is officially closed when a sign is posted.
  15. Children who cannot swim must be attended by a parent or other adult person 16 years or older at all times.
  16. No playing on fences, pool ladders, or ropes.
  17. No glass in the pool area at any time.
  18. Please place trash in proper containers.
  19. No cut-offs or shorts allowed in pools. Bathing suits ONLY.
  20. In case of an emergency or inclement weather, the pool must be cleared immediately. A long whistle blast will indicate emergency.
  21. During an emergency, swimmers must clear the pool and move to an area designated by the lifeguard on duty, until the lifeguard on duty authorizes return to the pool.
  22. The Club is not responsible for items stolen or misplaced.
  23. Do not talk to the lifeguard unnecessarily. The guards are on duty for your protection.
  24. Appropriate attire is required in the clubhouse. No swimsuits, tank tops, or spaghetti straps are allowed inside of the building.
  25. Persons with skin disorders or other infections must not enter the pool. Pool personnel should be advised if swimmers are on medication.
  26. Inflatable toys and other pool toys will be allowed at the discretion of the pool director and the lifeguard on duty.
  27. Animals are not allowed in the pool area, with the exception of guide dogs. Guide dogs are allowed on deck, but not in the water.
  28. The kiddie pool is for children five and under who are accompanied by an adult.
  29. All children under the age of 3 ½ are required to wear an approved swim diaper. Children over the age of 3 ½ who are not fully potty trained are also required to wear an approved swim diaper.
